The Electric Bug (Simulations Theme)

Post by Varda » Thu Nov 07, 2013 11:46 pm

It was one of those stuffy nosed, scratchy throat, lung-hacking colds that makes every waking moment complete misery. I called in sick and spent the day passed out on the couch with a bottle of Ny-Quil and a dwindling box of tissues. Only the message boards kept me lucid, well-wishes pouring in from around the globe on my laptop screen.

Look at the bright side, one friend joked, at least it’s not catching online!

Boy, was she wrong.

Two days later, just about the whole forum came down with the sniffles. That’s how we found out we were all androids.

And that's what you get for being Windows people.

Loved it.

Wouldn't it be great if static electricity could be put to some productive use... like ECT? Major depressive disorder, schizophrenia, mania and catatonia treated by shuffling on the carpet and touching the doorknob with your head?

Or powering your guitar amp with your sweater?

10,000 years of civilization, and the best we've been able to come up with is making balloons stick to us. Enough!

What do you get when you let an idea germinate... it's infectious... it goes viral.

That sheds a whole new light on what happens when I listen to podcasts. When the eggs hatch and the ideas start chewing their way out through my brain, is it gonna hurt much?
