Secret Santa - A tale of Christmas in 100 words

The man in black slunk through the house; no trail of footfalls behind him; not a single sound to warn of his presence; his stealthy silence giving away nothing.

He was heard to whisper names: “Tommy, Patty, Paul, Clare,” as if matching a list.

He stopped, head tilted to one side; sound from above. Someone was awake moving around.

Darting to the bottom of the staircase, he looked up and saw five-year-old Patty standing above him.

“Santa?” a hush filled her voice.

He held his finger to his lips, “Ssshhhh….Secret Santa,” and winked drawing the shiny sword from his back.
