A Restless Soul

Post by Bejami » Thu Mar 27, 2014 7:44 pm

Anna was sitting at the break room table chatting with her fellow nurses when the door handle started to rattle. After some fumbling, Mr. Walters pried open the door. This had happened before so they took it in stride. “This isn't your bedroom,” someone called, and Anna pointed down the hall toward his room.

Afterward, she noticed an extra person in the room. Without his cane and portable oxygen compressor, and with a sense of clarity in his eyes, Anna almost didn't recognize him. She turned pale and screamed for Mr. Walters' body. “Come back. Hurry! For God's sake, hurry.”

Love it!

But can the body hear when it's left its soul behind?

I'm not really sure. It's got the ears, but there's probably not much left at home to process the sound.

They do respond to sound.
But I think Beethoven pisses them off.
