The Little Dagonite

Post by Benbi » Sat May 10, 2014 1:03 pm

I performed each rite from the mouldering tome to perfection. But when I finally kneeled in supplication before Dagon, an immense, tentacled crab amidst a horde of deformed, piscatorial monstrosities on the floor of the deepest, darkest ocean, I changed my mind. “Please,” I sobbed, “let me return to the surface. Let me serve you as a man.”

Spurned, and in ruinous apoplexy, Dagon destroyed countless minions with its massive pincers. Into the silence that followed, with a voice like the bones of the world cracking, the creature spoke.

“The seaweed is always greener,” it began. ”In somebody else’s lake”.

Nice. Welcome to the forums!
You're my quasi-ichthian angel, you're my half-amphibian queen...

The Dribblecast, we don't care if you sound like an idiot.

So many Disney princesses would be improved with elder gods!

Thanks. I've been wanting to write a Lovecraft-themed Drabble for years.

Now that I think about it, i'm not surprised my inspiration came from the Little Mermaid.

I clicked on this story because I thought it was about a pokemon. I was surprised, but not disappointed.
Many on the forum have asked me, so here's my answer: a spoonful of lighter fluid. And you'll need to wash it out really well when you're done.
