Divine Verbs (One of a Kind Theme)

Post by Varda » Sat May 17, 2014 1:47 am

Yeah, yeah, I'm a little rusty. Let's get to the drabbling thing now!
-------------------------------

Gods speak a divine tongue. Their nouns are mountains, oceans, forests, deserts. Their verbs are things that fly, swim and crawl.

The goddess Love once quarreled with her sister, Hate.

“Gandhi,” Love proposed. “Teresa, Hillel, Curie.” Four tiny figures fell from her lips to the planet below.

“Stalin,” Hate retorted. “Antoinette. Himmel.”

As their ranks swelled, the divine verbs began to jabber on their own, one group consonant and the other dissonant.

Love drew herself to her full height. It took eons. She was very tall. Then her words pelted like hail upon the Earth.

One of them was yours.

I'm into metaphors when they're eloquent like that
Many on the forum have asked me, so here's my answer: a spoonful of lighter fluid. And you'll need to wash it out really well when you're done.

A little WD-40 will clear that right up.
