By Proxy

Post by PB&Jellyphish320 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 10:52 pm

People swear the house is haunted. But it is really just the sewing room.
My husband keeps that door locked.
He took in foster children when we learned of my condition. He so enjoys spoiling the little dears.

But they all ignore me. So I watch them from my sewing room. I design gifts for all the children - dolls.
But the subject of my design always becomes ill. When the doll is done they join me in the sewing room.
My family grows bigger as his withers away.
Soon, he won’t be able to ignore me any longer.

Interesting view of Clotho, who not only spins the thread but sews with it.

I continue to be amazed at the depth and breadth of spooky knowledge possessed by so many Drabblers and Twabblers.

I had not heard of Clotho until now. The Three Fates, yes, thanks in large part to Disney's "Hercules" (one of my fav Disney films).

Not only are these forums fun, they are frequently educational :)

Clotho spins the thread
Lachesis sews the fabric
Atropos cuts the thread

Ok, now it's obvious I've read Piers Anthony. #embarrassing

I have a confession. This wasn't intended to be Clotho. I didn't even know who Clotho was until after the comment and I had to go look it up. :( But I so enjoyed the compliment.

It's really just the ghost of a woman who died of loneliness in a house full of children because her husband was ignoring her and she decided to kill the children and draw them into the room with her.

That's what I thought. But then, I didn't get a posh classical education. I grew up thinking Lysander was an aeroplane and Roxanne was a pop song about a prostitute.

If you want your kids to get a posh classical education, sign them up for the Drabblecast, where they will pick up everything they really need to know... unless they need to know where Tynesdale is.

It's true! I mean, how many successful entrepreneurs are there that (who-whom?) don't have a solid grasp of non-Euclidean geometry?

It's true. Essential to know how to create a non-Euclydian Profit Projection for the stockholders.
