Out of Reach Beach

Post by KateZiervogel » Mon Nov 24, 2014 6:05 am

Cars stand side by side, parked in the lot overlooking the shore. The sand seems so soft and inviting.

Like Meerkats perched behind the windshields, the beachgoers gaze longingly at the pristine sands, knowing what it used to feel like under their feet and remembering cool salt water dashing against their calves making the folded pant legs wet at the knees.

Despair and desire flicker in their minds as they remember what it used to be like to walk hand in hand as the sun set.

One by one the engines start, reverse lights indicate their surrender. Safe home now.
