That Cold, Starry Night

Post by Sunner » Sun Dec 07, 2014 9:51 pm

Peeking through the banister railing, I saw mommy kiss Santa. At the time, I thought nothing of it as I shuffled back to my bed, past my parents room, from where I could hear my father snoring away. As I got older, I have often thought back to that moment, the last time I ever saw my mom. I remember getting back to my room and looking out my bedroom window... out across the snow-covered backyard to the strange red vehicle. I still wonder about the lack of reindeer as the vehicle blasted straight up into the cold, starry night.

Why don't you just come out and say it?
" Mommy was a ho, ho, ho."
