Oh Well.

Timmy loved his dog Lassie. Then Timmy began to understand what Lassie was saying. It wasn't anything strange, scary, or ominous, it was annoying. A normal day brought incessant yapping about the most ridiculous things like undetectable sounds or smells. It got bad when Lassie smelled bacon. Lassie shouted 'BACON' repeatedly and chewed on anything that had come into contact with it. One day during the bacon fest Timmy nearly went insane. When no one was looking he tossed a plate piled with bacon down the well. Lassie dove in. Timmy did not rush to an adult to get help.

Yup, you're definitely one twisted puppy.

And Boo! Hiss! (as Mr.Tweedy might say) about the title on that one :D

I didn't quite get just how twisted this one really is. Love the way you flipped Timmy and Lassie's traditional roles in relation to the well. Also loved the way Timmy's reaction was 180 degrees from the traditional Lassie response, and the way your anti-Lassie only had banal things to say, not important declaractions of impending emergencies.

Very upside down and bass-ackwards...

I think you but a whole lot more thought into analyzing this than I put into writing it, LOL. I mean, I spent days tuning that to perfection. {>..>}

You're saying you didn't itentionally write this as a complete mirror image of the "Lassie saves Timmie from the well" cliche?

In that case your sub-concious instinct was doing yeoman service for you.

Either way, you brought the funny.

I think I constructed it as 'how can I make this the most funny' and that ended up being a role and attitude reversal with bacon.
