A Personal Touch

Postby TimothyAWiseman » Sun Oct 04, 2015 12:58 am

"What are we going to do?" Jeremy whined to his business partner. "This is going to ruin us."

No customers had come this week. Now Jeremy knew why. Aklo was available online, as MP3s. Those magic words that expanded the mind and opened the soul were free for all.

"What we do," Mike answered, "Is sell the personal touch." He called up his most loyal clients, and offered custom Aklo speeches for them. It didn't take long before the addicts started coming back. The overdoses from people listening on repeat, that was a problem for the police and the doctors.

-------------------------------
For those unfamiliar with it, Aklo is a language that opens minds and often works like a drug in works of horror dating back to Arthur Machen in 1899 that has appeared in works by Lovecraft and Alan Moore. After finding out about it, I started wondering if Aklo dealers could make a living in a world where MP3s existed and what impact that would have on drug enforcement.
