Autopsy

Post by tunabee » Mon Aug 20, 2018 1:59 am

She won the auction, the auction to be present at his autopsy. Her bid was the only one. Eighty bucks. It wouldn’t happen for at least fifty years, but if she outlived him, the opportunity was hers.

He couldn’t say exactly why he offered the prize. He didn’t need the money, not really. It isn’t like he believed he would be able to look down and watch her from somewhere in the great beyond. He mostly did it because he had never heard of anything like it before. He liked the idea of someone wanting him only for his body.

I liked it! It was simple yet morbid and the last sentence made me giggle. Good job on your first drabble!
