JULY IV MDCCLXXVI

Almost 140 years in her country and she thought she knew who she was. An icon, a badass, a monument of hope. She always performed her duties to those in need, holding vigil over her territory.

Then came the day the words from her people changed. All at once many began to turn against her creed. They spit at her, with venom and hate spewing from their tongues, denying the words they once thought so fundamental.

Leaving the island she clenched her golden torch. She was a towering embodiment of compassion, but right now? Now was time for cracking skulls.
