The Watch

Post by BigDumbYak » Tue Jun 18, 2019 7:20 pm

I've always been late.
Mom used to say I'd be late for my own funeral.

My wife bought me this watch with no face, from a store she can't remember, on a shopping trip to no one knows where.

The people trapped within the Dimension of Time are always screaming.
They ALWAYS know what time it is. They can never NOT know.

I'm never late anymore.

Now, staring at the blank face of the watch, dread fills me like water filling lungs.

I press the button.
Through the portal on my arm I can hear their screams.

Time to go.
