Leaves

Post by dreamrock » Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:39 am

It was just paranoia.

The only way to get over the fear was to face it. I drove my car to the most leaf-covered parking space.

It was gloomy at 6:30AM, but not cold, so I jumped out of my car and walked to the bus stop. My car lurched a few inches forward. I told myself that it was just settling, a quirk of the transmission and an uneven spot.

When the bus pulled away, I saw it happen out of the corner of my eye. The avatar of evil formed from leaves dragged my unwilling car to hell.

Should have invested in a good leaf-blower. Live and learn...

You fool! If only you had paid the parking meter. ;)

(That handicapped placard might help too.)

Welcome to the Drabble forum.
Yes, welcome aboard. I never knew that leaves were the minions of the devil. :)

I don't know for sure that they all are, but I have my suspicions about the leaves in the spooky parking spot that inspired this.
