Wish List: (lé drabble +1)

Posted: Thu Dec 03, 2009 8:26 am
by ROU Killing Time
ROU sat and mused about how useful ASID’s Twabble Sizing tool was.

He dreamed of a drabble sizing tool that provided similar dynamic feedback to drabble authors everywhere.

At 30 percent, it might say “Good start, you should have the groundwork laid out.”

Then, at 50 percent, “Nice job, ½ way there, better think how you’re gonna wrap this thing up, kid.”

75 percent, “We’re rounding the corner, time to open up and let them have that punch-line, bucko!”

“Hit the brakes, can’t you see that brick wall up ahead?”

There’s nothing worse than having one too many words, “Doh! 101%”

Hey I like this idea!
(That's because my normal fee is $219 per hour for software design and implementation.)

So, cough up the credit cards, and the new tool is yours! 8)

Special offer for December only!: We will wave the usual fee, if ROU manages to get Drabblecast's December vote count to 11, at PodcastAlley.**

Act now! Quantities limited!

** Offer void where prohibited by law. Taxes and regulatory fees are extra. The user's immortal soul may be lost if attempting to use the site via Internet Explorer.

I just voted, which made me all excited and pleased with myself. Then I came back here and discovered my immortal soul is forfeit as I used Internet Explorer. Damn fineprint.

No worries (yet). That disclaimer mainly applied to the proposed new tool ROU wanted.

Thanks for voting!

PS, your soul *is* in peril and your identity even more so. Repent and download Firefox before it's too late!

Dear Strawman,
Thank you for contacting us!
To help track your inquiry we have generated a reference number. Your ticket code is LTK145017104104X. Please use this code in any further communication.

Note they don't say what if anything they plan to do to fix my being disenfranchised (someone call ACORN!) but I guess the tracking number is to help keep my complaints in order. I think a lawsuit may be in order.

Dear Podcast Alley,
Thank you for the reference number!
To help your attorney, we have generated a docket case number. Please use this number when responding to subpoenas in forthcoming communication.

Well, here December is 1/3 over and Drabblecast only has 7 votes (which sadly, appears to be a monthly record for the DC).

They are:
ASID, voted twice,
tbaker2500,
Richmazzer,
The Jebi,
juliasd,
(one mystery voter who did not leave a comment, but was not ROU (based on dates and his own statements) -- might be Strawman)

It costs nothing to vote, people!
If anyone still has trouble with PCA's email verification, PM me. We can use the following recipe:
  1. I send you a single purpose email address, which you use to vote.
  2. PCA's verification link will be emailed to me, and then I will PM it to you. Alternatively, I can forward the temp address to an email that you specify.
  3. You visit the verification link (PCA does IP checking, so I cannot always visit the link for you).
  4. Voilà, your December vote is counted and/or your PCA account is active (depending on whether you just voted or opted to create an account too).
