The soundtrack for Pandemic was fun to do. :)

Well I did the add to iTunes some time ago and got the "your podcast has been submitted and is under review" message.

Anyone know how long that process takes?

Good Job! You don't sound nearly as bad as you thought you did!

My only comment is that you may consider a little intro next time, so your non weirdo friends will know what the podcast is all about.

This assumes that I have any friends that are non weirdo's... ;-)

But your point is well taken, and I'm sure as I get better at the art of multi-tracking I'll be able to put a little more into that side of the equation.

Yup, I'm already hard at work tracking it together.

Moonowl, you'll definitely want to catch episode #2. Fame and glory await you.

Re: Clowns & Bunnies: Submission Format

Post by ROU Killing Time » Wed Mar 31, 2010 7:07 pm

Well, I've learned a few things, and one of them is that I need a standardized format as we move forward.

Also, I need it in .WAV, .AIFF, or .MP3 format (I find that Audacity can't import M4A files, and I can't afford a converter at the moment...)

So, recordings should be like this.

<Title of story>
by <Author>
Read by: <your name> <insert podcast or blog you would like to Pimp>
<story goes here>

Basically, just listen to how Norm did "Pandemic" in episode one, and that'll save me lots of time and save people having to listen to too much of my voice. (I know you all say it's fine, ya ya, whatever...)

Everyone thinks they sound weird. I was a DJ for awhile in school and eventually I got desensitized to it. But doing this recording, I think I sound like a gerbil again.

If you're on Mac, this advice will be pointless ... but I use BonkEnc to open and convert M4As. Not saying you should take file types other than the ones you listed, but if you have any leftovers and access to a Windows machine, I'd give it a try.

This forum is more informative than Google. Thanks man, just what I need. I shall go google BonkEnc now.

I use "Switch" to convert Norm's M4A's over to MP3's. It's mac, but there's probably a windows equivalent.
