Drabblecast Archive

Postby tbaker2500 » Fri Jul 11, 2008 2:33 am

A while back Norm asked if anyone wanted to put up a fan archive page, to help with redundancy, etc.

I've started one at http://www.gardenstreet.org/drabblecastarchive/

My thought is to have a podcastable feeds for sets of 10 episodes, to make it easy for new listeners to get caught up. I have the first set up (haven't done iTunes yet, you need to add the podcast url to your feed program).

What I'm looking for is suggestions for what this site should really be. For example, right now I'm just feeding the m4a's, cause they have cool meta information. Is a duplicate feed with MP3's needed?

So if you have suggestions or ideas, please post.

Thanks
Tom

Looks awesome Tom, thanks. Yah, an MP3 feed might be good also if it's not too much work. Save ya from havin to hear people ask for one. :-)

Yea, I got a couple up there. I'm still trying to figure out the best organization system.

It is impressive how much larger MP3's are in comparison to M4A's. 3-to-1 ratio or more. I hadn't realized compression tech had improved that much.

Norm, I noticed
A. That you don't have Ep 1-4 in MP3, so I converted them for the archive MP3 feed.
B. Ep 12 is broken in the MP3 warehouse.

Before I get the next 60+ episodes archived, any more suggestions? I mean, really, now is the time, cause I ain't startin' over...

Well folks, while Norm fights with Apple to try and get uploading working again, I invite you to take a listen to a classic episode at the DC archive. the address is:
www.gardenstreet.org/drabblecastarchive

While I only have the first 20 episodes up, they are aged to perfection.
