In Abby's interview with Norm, he acknowledges that the Drabblecast's main weakness is marketing. These numbers are pretty impressive for a product that's strictly word of mouth.
If 6 degrees of separation is true, eventually word of mouth will hit the jackpot. I've known enough people in marketing to know that they are an above your average class of strange people. But they may not be forumites.

This might help: http://digiredo.wordpress.com/2009/06/2 ... eting-day/ that June 25 2009 was National Marketing Day event in Amsterdam. Hard to tell if they will be back this year. Maybe zZzacha could find out? I know Norm would love to "go Dutch".

I'm not alone then in Innsmouth being my favorite Norm Sherman original.

Last August I made a Last.Fm artist profile for Norm to track people with the Last.Fm widget playing the Drabblecast and his original tunes. It's up from just me to now 222 different users who listened to his tunes collectively 4,000 times. Your stats are far closer to the source, more valid, but I still derive some satisfaction from the drilled down Last.Fm info. You can see what Norm listeners tend to share in common, see their age, their location, and also what Last.Fm considers 'similar' to NS.

Just poked around - Pandora doesn't seem to recognize his existence. And I don't see anywhere to feed it information. The music genome is missing some seriously important genetic material. Flipper babies are a possibility.

As for Panamindorah I whipped up a profile for Mr. Hilton. With hope porn star nikki hilton will no longer be the first hit for her name

Well, let's see how we're doing these days. Since I've added zips of 25 episodes at a time, I'll throw that stat in.

Format- # of individual episodes DL'd / # of Zip files DL'd (Each file contains 25 episodes)

March: 13,100 / 393
April: 16,163 / 676
May: 13,374 / 552
June: 12,817 / 588
July: 23,416 / 990
August: 33,875 / 626
September: 45,236 / 551
October: 38,329 / 1932
November: 22,435 / 2464

Wow! Huge numbers increase this year. And while the individual downloads tailed off, the zip downloads increased. While Norm started linking directly to the files on the archive site for "Download MP3" links, the referring site report hasn't changed much, always about 63% of the traffic coming directly from drabblecast.org, the rest from a wide variety of blogs and searches.

So the archive at least shows a minimum of 3 times the traffic of last year, more when you factor in the zip files. Way to go people!
