Trying to find book by content

Postby chemistryguy » Tue Mar 19, 2013 8:53 pm

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this, but as readers of weird, I have to ask.

I remember reading a book that involves people going off planet. As a whole, they're not happy, but they cope through playing with dolls and taking a drug that makes it feel as though they become the dolls themselves.

Does ring a bell with anyone?

Hmm. Technically, this sub-forum is for the DC archive (which is now superseded). But we don't seem to have a good place for posts like this, and we ought to, IMO.

To Tom/Bo/Norm, perhaps create a sub-form, in This n That, called something like "Related fiction discussion"?

Nevermind. The Google Advanced Book Search is frickin' amazing. I limited the variables as much as I could and searched for words drugs, dolls and planet.

The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch was written by Philip K Dick. I guess I read more PKD than I thought.
