I had heard that love is blind. Just before my son’s viola recital, I prayed that it was also deaf.

The creature clawed and chittered its way across my chalk pentagram. I recoiled. It was a squirrel.

A wormhole opened and the stench of old urine seeped through. The graffiti was misspelled as usual.

Chlorine is put in our water supply to kill harmful bacterias. Good news, I found arsenic works just as well. Bad news...

Whoa, Ben Hathaway stepping in with some great twabbling chops! Hopefully jump start more competition.

By the way (preaching to the choir here obviously,) but we kinda prefer submissions to be in this thread rather than creating your own. Much easier to scan these pages than open lots of new individual ones.

Good one. But, a twabble is 100 characters, not counting spaces. Your salvos are 99 chars total, a technical foul.

You can check the size here.

Norm, you can "sticky" this thread, as well as -- perhaps -- a short instructions post.

Also, a moderator can move all the one-shot twabble threads into this one.

And while you're there, remember to follow the link to Podcast Alley and VOTE!

Meh, Podcast Alley is pretty much irrelevant anymore (their deathmarch began with all the spammotion of Leftist/seditious podcasts).

But, one more voter will get to cast the lucky 100th vote for Drabblecast. :Fireworks Smilie, where are you?:

He'd finally done it. Traveled three hours into the future. It took three hours to get the stupid time machine to start.

Bill Wilson shot the sheriff and his deputy six times through their eyes. He was using the new repeating rifle after all.

OK, I acknowedge the technichal foul. Notpad is realy not the best tool for this then, eh?
Just so that I'm still elidgable; here are my last three, re-written with the help of the online tool by 'Algernon Sydney is dead'. Thanks for the claification.
I've heard that love is blind. Before the first note of my son's violin recital, I prayed fervently that it was also deaf.
The creature clawed and chittered its way across my chalk pentagram. I blinked. The squirrel blinked with eyes of fire.
A space-time wormhole creaked open. With the vortex came the stench of old urine. The graffiti was misspelled as usual.
...and here's a couple of new ones for your twabbling pleasure...
At home I have tiny ants that form black rings around any forgotten crumbs. Today they wrote 'HELP US!' so I crushed them.
Have you seen those beetles that get stuck on their shells, feet churning in the air? It turns out they are laughing at us.
I hope I didn't break any rules this time.

Cheers,

Ben.

Mamma bit daddy's head off for cursing. Daddy knows better than to use the C-word. Mamma hates being called Cthulhuoid.

... Revised and new twabbles ...
Good stuff.
And apparently your first one was so good that Norm made an exception. See here, here, and here.
