Now you have me wondering. If the statue of liberty truly came from France then why doesn't she have shaven underarms.

See, this is the kind of stuff they were distracted by while the Frenchmen made their escape.

She stood high over the water
helping pigeons roost.
Weeping over Liberty's slaughter
and the tyrants we've produced.

Yep. But it's appropriately ironic, considering the bloodbath of Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite that produced the statue as a gift. Always, one man's hero is another's tyrant.

There are times when I just want to stand in the light, feel the warmth of the sun on my face. oh, the curse of being a shadow.

Hmmm. I thought the curse of the shadow would be all of those unsavory types skulking about in your heart.

This sounds pretty similar to a transgender dilemma. Where does this desire come from, to be other than what we are? Not just different from, but OTHER than...Does matter ever wish it were antimatter? You have made me wonder.

Thanks, CarlC

Trust me when I say that is a pretty apt comparison. The wish to feel the warmth of the sun just once, to touch the burning root of your desire a single time before death. It's a bittersweet state of juxtaposition.
