Better a rapper than a flying crapper.

He lost his youth
fighting for truth
and never a damsel got.
With his underwear on the outside
only gay men thought him "Hot".
When you were standing in line as they passed out mutant powers did you ever think being able to limerick in twabble form would be your special ability?

I'm new to the forums, and this is my first attempt, so please be kind, but feedback would be much appreciated. This twabble was somewhat inspired by the story in episode 263, Betty Flesh and the Meat Man, by Bo Kaier. I hope it delivers that same feeling, and that you enjoy:

Eyes meet across a crowded room. Lips meet over a candled table. Hearts meat in a grinder. That'll teach those cheaters!

Alas, that was neither a proper limerick, nor a twabble (missed it by 3 chars). So maybe I got gypped!? :(

Yeah, but I know you've done more than a few that were successful on both criteria.

You're kinda like one of Mur Lafferty's 3rd-Wavers.

At least Limerick-Lad is better than being Feculance Boy.

What he said. Fine twabble but it caught the Grammar Nazi's jaundiced eye.
It should be maybe:
Hearts meet in a grinder.
or:
Heart's meat in a grinder.

I think you are overthinking it, ASID. It's a fine double-play on words, as long as the character count is all in order, leave the jack-boots at home. ;-)

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! What's this scurrilous libel implying that I and Grammar Nazi are one in the same!? (Or is that just what one would expect from someone who misspells "over thinking"? 8) )

And, I'm sure Grammar Nazi was fully aware of the double-play, but he (or she) probably felt that the same could be preserved along with the grammatical purity of the mother land bulletin board.

She knelt by his bedside and kissed his cheek. Her tears fell on him. His last lesson was that of pain and coping with loss.

Ehhhh. I'm gonna say that Snickelsox wins the "beholder" contest, so far. That was a bit of a stretch and a horrible under-use of a named weapon -- even if it had a +2 for biddies.

"Be holed!" she exclaimed with great pomp.

I'd tell my dentist that the joke was tired, but not while she held that drill.

His lyrics were too fierce, his chords too intense. Sentenced to rap for community service, he's now doing hard rhymes.

I love me some puns.

Sir, you're replacing the string on a Fender Drabblecaster.

I hate it when people "string you along" for answers to simple questions!
