You played a roll at a Dahmer Roast? Maybe the unintentional pun of the year.

Francis had always dreamed of joining the Marine Corpse, but his desires were frustrated by the necrophilia statutes.

So you want a pun war, eh?

I plucked a man's eye out, & a crowd chased me from the bus stop!
Third time today. No one liked my random acts of blindness.

Defeat came before we knew we were at war. As more died, we cuddled closer. No one was prepared for the kissing apocalips.

The herds rampaged up from Peru, killing with radioactive mutant saliva.
Very few survived the spitting alpaca-lips.

You're too awesome... if I had my choice, I would rather die wet than with just a kiss.

We stood outside the news station in protest against miscommunication. I still don't think our message got through...

Things changed when the crows of England fell silent at the first sounds of punk rock thus becoming rebels without caws.

She turned back storms of evil, for a decade and worldwide.
Rejoice, ye, in Valhalla; an iron warrior's died.
Remember!

Not to sound too picky (a failed attempt, I assure you), but I think the word 'dead' in place of 'died' would allow the story to flow a bit better.

Just an observation.

Thanks for the observation.
In this case, I'll stick with "died".
  • "warrior's died" is grammatically correct. It's the contracted form of "warrior has died."
"warrior has dead" is poor grammar and "warrior is dead" is awkward.
  • It relays the recency of the death; whereas "dead" is much more open-ended.
  • One does not celebrate that a great warrior is (long) dead.
One might celebrate that a warrior has just entered Valhalla -- which only happens just after that warrior or stateswoman has died.
  • "Died" rhymes and flows. "Dead" does neither in this instance.

I made the perfect random number sequence; it's completely unpredictable.
And now it's listed in scores of textbooks.

It seemed neat at first, eternal life. Now everyone I love is dead. I am the eternal stranger; a voyeur to all around me...

Jack had his head in the clouds & his feet on the ground.
He wasn't a remarkable man. He just never saw that airship anchor.
