I love the line "Despite his grand stature, Chilli only grazes on grass during the day and enjoys the occasional swede as a treat." It seems to imply an assumption on the writer's behalf that a cow that big should eat human flesh or something.

Oh, I thought it was the "during the day" bit that was odd; seemed to imply a night-time career as a crime-fighting cow. Heck, everyone enjoys the occasional swede, don't they?

I recall from Aliya Whitely's blog that a swede is what they call rutabagas over there.
