I love Drabblecast, where else could I share that I thought this was just fascinating?!
More on zombie ants: in this case, after zombifying the ant, "ultimately, the fungus produces a long stalk that protrudes from the ant's head, shooting spores out". How dramatic

That is insane! I would hate to be an ant. What the hell, you go out on a normal day foraging for dead insects and such and you end up becoming a zombie with a fungi stalk sticking out of your head. I guess my bad days at work aren't so bad after all. Argh!
Raise your fists and scream "black smut"!

Beware Black Mold
So I'm told.
It will drive you most insane.
You scrub, bleach and scream;
Yet, still it rots your brain.

PS: I still don't know how I could POSSIBLY tolerate a world where only 3 of these blights survived in that section of Brazil. All parasitic brain-rots are precious. Damn you "Global Warming"! Damn you to Hell!

We've finally found that warm, fuzzy, fungi-infested part of your heart, err brain, ASID.
