Being 'Born-Again' Linked to More Brain Atrophy: Study

I think what they're getting at is that people who are "born again" are turning back into monkeys.
As someone who is born again, I can't wait.

Irony of the month: "Repent" (Gr. Metanoia) means "Change your mind".

See? this proves God exists.

Talk about biased reporting! From the article:
According to the study, people who said they were a "born-again" Protestant or Catholic, or conversely, those who had no religious affiliation, had more hippocampal shrinkage (or "atrophy") compared to people who identified themselves as Protestants, but not born-again.
Did you get that? "Born again" or "atheist" or "too wussy to commit" (agnostic) ALL had puny brains. Only sensible Protestants were smart**. 8) (And Buddhists, Muslims, Zoroastrians, etc. don't even count . )

It's Science! But don't worry, I'm sure there will soon be an international conspiracy to "Hide the decline".

** At least they're not waspish about it.

Unless 'in less than a week' is affixed to the end of this sentence I'm not that bothered.
Let me through, I'm a colour therapist!

I see two options here.

1. The study actually covered many things, and this was an interesting side note mined out of the data. Funny, but pretty irrelevant.
B. The study set out to find correlation between religion and brain formation. In which case the "scientists" were studying something with no practical application except to make themselves feel superior. In which case, they're worse than the antievolutionists.

I'm far from being born-again, and I thought my hippocampus was feeling swollen. Now I know why!
