pareidolia as the article notes, is probably to blame for this particular rodent sighting (and Jesus's face so frequently appearing in toast). But to be safe, we should immediately prep up a flight of freeze-dried earth cats, to be sure the Martian landscape isn't riddled with pests.

That's no squirrel. It's quite clearly a guinea pig. That would explain the constant squeaking noise they make. They're not being cute, they're trying to contact the mother ship in a frequency undetectable to humans.

And see! They already have a foothold in all our primary school class rooms....
