Most home insurance covers a Sharknado

Post by groomporter » Fri Jul 19, 2013 2:01 pm

"A tornado is a wind event," says Mike Barry, vice president of media relations. Wind events, including hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones and other such calamities, are covered under a standard policy. But a falling shark?

"It would be covered, yes, as a falling object," Barry confirms.

Pretty sure you can get "Rapture Pet Insurance" but for the rest if us all bets are off.

The other day, a friend of mine was joking about how in case of Rapture, you're gonna have a whole bunch of desolate, lonely cats and dogs locked inside of houses of those dearly departed saints, slowly starving to death as they wonder what they did to be so abandoned by their humans. I said, "There's gotta be a way to make money off of that."

Then seeing your comment, a quick Google search shows that someone's already thought of it.

Since all of our potential beneficiaries would be gone, thanks to the 4 horsemen, perhaps the policies should pay off to the pets?

You've heard the joke about the guy whose will stated in his will that his money was to be buried with him? (His executor put a check in the coffin.)

That's kinda the premise of End-Times insurance policies.

See, when I heard that joke, it involved a rolled-up comic book shoved up a cadaver's backside. We all know how that one ended...
