Blood ritual laws?

Postby groomporter » Tue Jan 28, 2014 6:29 am

Not really news, just something random I discovered.

I wonder how many other states have laws against the ritualistic "ingestion of human or animal blood or human or animal waste" Louisiana does. (§107.1. Ritualistic acts http://www.legis.la.gov/legis/law.aspx?d=78261).

"The acts defined in this Subsection are hereby determined to be destructive of the peace, health, morals, and safety of the citizens of this state and are hereby prohibited."

You can actually buy cow's blood by the gallon at some of the farmer's markets in Atlanta, GA. I've always assumed it was some exotic cooking ingredient somewhere in the world, but now you've got me wondering...

Don't know how long the law has been on the books, but a friend in the emergency medical field claimed about 15 years ago the New Orleans area had a problem with wannabe vampires / witches and a number of people got hurt bad enough to need hospitalization.

Why has no one written a story about what happened when these wanabee vampires and witches found themselves trapped together in the Superdome after Katrina? Remember the helicopters and national guard and Coast Guard? Remember Browny? Heck, even Bush seemed to be kind of changed by the experience.

The world needs to know it was all due to an apocalyptic threat of wannabe vampires and witches, and only the destruction of the dykes and flooding of the city prevented them from breaking containment and taking over the world.

I have started working on the sequel.
It explains that the current administration is a result of the failure of that containment.

And here I've just been putting it into my tea in the morning. How embarrassing!

According to the screenplay, you are not embarrassed.

That would require a level of self-awareness inconsistent with wannabe vampirism.
In fact, Varda, the screenplay has you drinking coffee.
