Sound

Post by Chivalrybean » Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:48 am

One thing that doesn't work for me is sound. Just kidding. Seriously though, having a really loud sound is bad. I gots thems little speakers shoved in my ears and if a sound is significantly loud, like a phone ringing (was it on the Eggs story? I listened to so many stories today, I forgot which it was), it compresses my brain since the sound is coming from both directions. I guess that is better then it shoving my brain out my ear, though. Make a sudden noise, but not overly louder than all the other sounds.

My hear drums play a solo of thanks in advance.

Hmm- actually that kind of thing is my #1 pet peeve in podcasting so I try to be really conscious of it. I'd rather have music/effect inaudible than jarring, so let me know when things like this pop up. The phone in eggs didn't zap me on my speakers at home.

Yeah, it hasn't happened often, at all, on Drabble Cast, other than the one I mentioned. The mixing is generally top notch, so it was the only thing I could think of to complain about {:0p
