ESA will never accept the smackdown of their beloved comrades, not to mention comrade's sister.

Hm, I've been to Russia. It's not exactly Canada. I'm trying to remember how their sense of humor was. Pretty dry. They might go for it?tbaker2500 wrote:Nice. Hey c'mon, the russians have a sense of humor, right?

Eff'em if they can't take a joke. Even if I weren't a drabblecast fan-boy, I'd think this was the funniest pop-culture Hubble reference extant. In fact it's one of the bits that solidified my fan-boy status.

Just sayin', we're talking about the Euro-bleedin'-pean Space Agency. They are noted for the nonexistence of a sense of humor. If God were wit, they would be Rickard Dawkins.ROU Killing Time wrote:Eff'em if they can't take a joke.

Yes, but you have to imagine the scene. Pimp my Satellite as a submission to the ESA media contest. While I agree with you and J. R. "Bob" Dobbs Jr. on the subject of people who can't take a joke, it's my personal policy to avoid pissing off people who have nukes.ROU Killing Time wrote:Eff'em if they can't take a joke. FYI: The ESA is the league that NASA people play in after their Dancing-With-The-Stars gig.

Proof that Norm has the power to turn progressives into reactionary war-mongers.

This is cool, thanks Aquarello! I emailed em to ask how you go about doing mp3 or video or if they are eligible. It seems they are mostly looking for images.

# Upload your image to the Hubble Pop Culture groupnormsherman wrote:This is cool, thanks Aquarello! I emailed em to ask how you go about doing mp3 or video or if they are eligible. It seems they are mostly looking for images.
* Click on You -> Upload photo and videos to your account
* Choose the image from your computer
* Once the image is uploaded, choose "Send to group" and "add to group pool" and choose "Hubble Pop Culture"
* Tag your photos with one, or more categories. (ex: Most Artistic)
* Make sure your photos are visible by anyone (public) and marked as safe.
In my opinion, you have a lock on categories 1 and 3 (most artistic and funniest)
I guess I'd have to suggest submitting in the funniest category though.

Unfortunately flickr only lets you play 90 seconds of a video, which seems like a lame and arbitrary restriction that I would seriously rethink if I was a flickr exec.
But it's at least enough time to get through the first chorus!
Thanks again forum folks for the support!
