200th episode
This topic is open for all to suggest stories for our 200th episode coming up around the bend. Anything in the public domain is fine but think outside that box as well. 3K words/(5 or 8 pages usually) max, but don't worry bout any of that stuff so much. What story/author/genre/theme/anything would you love to see us do up big time for 200?

Ooooh, second that. I read this one to my students every year. It would be nice to have an actual audio production to share with them.strawman wrote:Azimov's The Last Question

Re: 200th episode
I would love to Bogart the cover art. Or, even better, do a collaborative cover. Dunno if it makes any sense, but maybe a story where characters drawn by 2-4 artists could be combined in to one piece.
I like the pseudopod / Escapepod approach of one long form story from a famous genre author. Maybe for us it's Saki?
Could always go piecemeal, with a sampler of shorts from our favorite authors. Keys and Pratt etc. Like a big epic quintuple header. Would fit that cover idea..

No matter what you do, somebody will be disappointed. That being said, is the Nine Billion Names of God available?

As an extra goody in the show, how about an autotuned amalgamation of highlights from Drabblecasts past?

Do you watch Auto-Tune the News on youtube? Bad auto-tune is bad auto-tune, I am not defending amateurish use, or people putting it in to their 'legitimate' pop music. It can though be quite fun when used with humorous intent.tbaker2500 wrote:Gosh I hate autotune.

Frank Baum seems to have a load of public domain material with "Oz-ishness", which is pretty Drabblecasty. What do you think?normsherman wrote:This topic is open for all to suggest stories for our 200th episode coming up around the bend. A little passe, perhaps, but I would love to hear Norm read The Raven. Maybe that's a B-Sides, though.
