You know, I have no idea what my avatar is. No idea what I google searched to find it or how it came to pass. For real. I remember spending about 6 minutes finding it, not really challenging. But alas, I am left with an existential crisis.

How bout this-- announcing the "Say My Name, Bastian!" Contest.
First person to get their Luck Dragon around the net and find out what my avatar is gets a free DC Tshirt and Norm Sherman CD (to be melted down for silverware.)

Have you seen this maw?

Hmmm. I like it, scavenger hunt 2.0. You should make it it's own temporary topic scam spam style. Or at least ShermanSays should.

I found the pic! It's a dinosaur at the National History Museum. There are a few pics of it online:

I thumped real fast through the internets, nibbled on some internets to give me extra credits and then I went into the Final Level. I totally beat the gigantic Politico Beast Master to make me the Bunny Queen of Thump and then I had the Awesome Power of Find and I found Norm. And that, of course, is my real prize.

(In reality, I googled a few words, and it took me a lot longer to re-find the pic than the 6 minutes Norm used to find it the first time. The code words were: 'dinosaur mouth', if you wish to go straight to the Final Level).

My Avatar is A flag Used by the MacDougalls on their ships, also its kind of creepy

"(57kb download) According to the best authorities, the symbol of the Raven comes to Clan MacDougall from it's Viking ancestors. It comes as a bird of state and the companion of gods. Two Raven rode upon the shoulders of Odin. Their names were "thought" and "memory", for the Raven is said to be the wisest of birds. Some scholars have seen in the pictorial representations of the prows of the MacDougall galley a raven rather than the traditional dragon head. A tradition among the MacDougalls of Lunga says that the MacDougall galleys flew a "raven flag".

my avatar is near and dear to me. I believe googled "funny pics" and it came up within the first few pages. I thought, well that's good enough (mediocrity is so easy!).
One day he will look into what a ‘stigmata’ really is; for now, it is his trump card for getting out of work. He simply says ‘stigmata’ and they say ‘shit, hope you feel better soon.’ End of story.

One evening when we were laying out under the full moon my wife grabbed the camera and caught me in a playful mood. I liked the photo and decided to make it my avatar.

There have been many attempts, over the years, to "set your (my) mind right". One of these was captured for posterity in a cherished family wood-carving...

My avatar proves that I am either unoriginal or not too afraid of having my face on the net? Or something. I don't know. I took this picture and cropped it. It was my twitter picture for awhile before I used a few moments of my fifteen minutes of fame getting the attention of Cory Doctorow by using him as the model for my Halloween costume.

Maybe my avatar is a sign I'm an attention fiend? >_>

No, I think you just liked your beard. That reminds me of a few mustache-related stories on the DC. Can't remember which eps, tho.

Yeah, that sounds a lot better. I'm going to go with that. Plus, I really did love my beard. D:

I think you chose you avatar to deliberately embarrass me for my unwilling beardlessness. Can't I go anywhere without getting picked on? :_(

No man should have to go without a beard, Mr. Tweedy. I have donated several beards to science for the purpose of discovering a cure to this debilitating illness known as male pattern facial baldness (MPFB ... on second thought, I just googled that acronym and we're probably doing to need something else >_> ).

I trust that in time modern medical science will triumph, if we but raise awareness ... and donate 50 USD a year to a non-profit that doesn't exist yet so far as I know.

I can grow hair everywhere except below the ends of my mustache. Makes for one ugly ass beard. But I hate shaving, so whatever.

My avatar is a cat looking cross-eyed at a bee on its nose. It's saying - WTF! Which is what I would likely say if I had a bee on my nose. This is the best I could do until I get the designs done on my WX Girl stuff. I might then switch to one of those. But WTF Kitty might grow on me by then.
