We're launching the voting for the finals later tonight, and it will be exhaustive, treacherous stuff, with wonderfully convoluted and detailed descriptions. As for a history, I've been promising and not delivered on a 'rounds' archive section for weeks. It will happen, not sure how soon. For now you can click and read the first post of the 4 forum discussions, to get a general description of the beasts in those rounds. The winners were Scraptor the raptor, Night Owl the owl, Squid Marx the squid, and Telephant the elephant (all the way back in 07).

To get a look at the competitors, take this back door in to my site:

full_01.jpg through full_17.jpg are our storied round contenders. full_05.jpg is Hellaphant, one of our hybrid 'meta-beast' finalists.

Argh... real world encroaching on beast world. Sorry folks, looks like this is the same kind of transition / dead week as that which preceded round 3. We'll be kicking off the forum topic soon, but web site voting won't be happening till this weekend, probably Sunday.

Some positive news is:
  • All pencil art is done, and is probably the coolest so far
  • Two new layers of voting security have been put in place
  • Final dossiers are complete, and the editors have signed off
