I'm modifying my votes and adding in a few honorable mentions. I realized I missed Absent-Minded Professor, and that really is a drabble that is tops in my book. That means, of course, one of mine has to go, and I can't see dropp;ing 147, 146, 125, or 115 from the list which are also very near and dear to me as far providing great listening enjoyment. So, I'm putting myself on the Honorable mention roll. I really do like "Yarn" and think it's probably the best drabble I've written. I think if I were not the author it would probably end up on the Honorable Mention list though, so there it shall go.

Drabblecast 147- Time Machine by Christopher K. Monroe
Drabblecast 146 Homeostasis by Phenopath
Drabblecast 138- Absent Minded Professor by Peter Recore
Drabblecast 125- Prayer to Human by Christopher Perria
Drabblecast 115- Drabble- The Absurdly Connected Machine by J. Alan Pierce

Honorable mention:

Drabblecast 137- Yarn by Steve Lidster
Drabblecast 135-- Eat the Dog by Reverend John Sleestaxx (I heart the Rev and miss him...)
Drabblecast 134- Squid Ink by Abbie Hilton
"Never fuck with The Culture"
Sublime In Peace Iain M. Banks.

I thought it was pick 5. Or was it just a thin crop of drabbles in 2009 for the Strawman?

Yeah, Drabbles usually don't stick as much as the stories for me.

I was sad I couldn't fit Navy Wife in, simply because I spent so much time pondering it and came up with some impressions that were satisfying. I think it was Prayer to Human that edged it out of my list.

Drabblecast 146 Homeostasis
Drabblecast 147- Time Machine
Drabblecast 134- Squid Ink
Drabblecast 141 The Tower
Drabblecast 113- The Good Doctor

in that order. I really liked the time machine and the way it made me feel. Homeostasis was the full story by 50 words and then again by about 85.

Hmm, I found it harder to chose between drabbles than feature stories. I had to go back and do some checking.
