Tie Breaker
The Top 4 are clear:
Babel Probe by David D. Levine
Let us Now Praise Awesome Dinosaurs by Leonard Richardson
Clown Eggs by Jay Lake
Teddy Bears and Tea Parties by S. Boyd Taylor
The 5th, not so much, muddled between 6/7 votes each, this choice seems heated. Vote now, this poll will only be up till Wednesday!

Hmm, 3 outta 4 ain't bad, and if we had 6 choices Babel woulda probably been on my list too. I feel like I'm 3/4th's conformist. But since I voted first you are all copying me.
Get out there and vote for Toast, people. c'mon, telepathic toast playing Dance, Dance Revolution. It's for the win.

Re: Tie Breaker
Man, this is a hard choice. The Great Old Pumpkin was stellar but Storm Comes A' Callin is just loaded with atmosphere. As much as I like Storm Comes A' Callin, I have just got to go with the Great Old Pumpkin tho...

Re: Tie Breaker
I 'd take Toast as an odd duck out 'wacky' pick in the jelly tradition, but AA just had more levity and impacted me more. Meaning and metaphor, the nougat in the drabblebar. Toast is all peanuts man.
Re: Tie Breaker
This is a toughie. Storm Comes A' Callin may have had the best production this year. Toast was superbly stupid. However for a sublime story it has to be Annabelle.
Re: Tie Breaker
Yes, very tough. So tough I will agree with whatever the consensus is. AA was the best use of language. Storm, the best barometrics; and Toast was delightfully crumby. What it came down to, for me, was the toast voices. I think Norm should get them to guest narrate an episode.

I had to go with "Pumpkin." It's the perfect melding of beloved childhood memories and childhood horrors.

Annabelle's Alphabet is my favorite Drabblecast ever.
...except maybe the Worm Within. Not sure I could pick between them.

Re: Tie Breaker
Even though I didn't put Annabelle's Alphabet on my original list, I had to pick it. I had some sort of brain fart when I didn't find something else to bump off the list to get that on. Having to pick between that and The Great Old Pumpkin was cruelly difficult. D:

Re: Tie Breaker
Toast is one of the few Drabblecasts that I could openly share with anybody, and they'd get a good laugh out of it. "Art", no. Good- yes!
