Going through some old stories, I gave Morton (#17) a new listen. Not one of Norm's best, but the story was very strong as a comprehensive study of placing your imagination at the service of loathing. I found myself at points trying NOT to pay attention, Morton was creating such a bad taste in my brain.
Carvin stirs this cesspool to perfection, then in a twist that no one sees coming, gives the cesspool godlike control over the universe.
Obviously, Carvin's day job has inspired this story. By the time he gets his law degree, he will be a true danger to society. What a personal price to pay for the production of superior Drabble. The least we can do is nominate the story for which he has paid so high a price for the Golden Drabble Award.
