Re: Nominations - Best Drabble
This does seem to be resembling a MBDM bout in the voting style. I hope next year that ASID's stellar suggestion to use the forum polls is implemented. (As he rightly points out, voting for a friend is certainly allowed, but busing in new forum members to vote only for a specific drabble does seem to have a skewing effect from what seems to be the intent of the first round.)
But new blood on the forums is always a good thing. I hope the new members have come to add in some more input than just the single vote.

I'm confident that even if a story makes the cut on the basis of a flash mob (or a modicum of spam savvy) that the winner will still triumph on the back of my vote-bot merit. Just to be sure, it wouldn't hurt to start Paypal-ing me money.ROU Killing Time wrote:voting for a friend is certainly allowed, but busing in new forum members to vote only for a specific drabble does seem to have a skewing effect from what seems to be the intent of the first round.

My friend Google told me to come here and i want to say I Vote for Nathan lee's Drabble. It is by far superior to all the other ones from this last year.Algernon Sydney is Dead wrote: I think we should count the nominations, barring any escalated shenanigans.

My votes!
#222 - Duckhunt by John Murphy - who doesn't love Duck Hunt?
#216 - My Secret Co-Author by Evan Quinlan. Creepy!
#218 - With 90 Seconds to Go by Christopher Munroe. I live in Los Angeles, where parking meters are well, everywhere, so every time I see one now I giggle.
#225 - Imaginary Runner by Tesseract McCrea - Reminded me of all the times I used my imagination to keep myself entertained on long family car trips. Minus the vehicular homicide.
#230 - Sheep by Phenopath - so many Scottish jokes to make here, so little time
