Hard to track which stories are hitting the top spots. Although Creature, Boojum, and Love in the PTE seem to be headed for round two.

As someone pointed out, it was a good year for stories here on the drabblecast. (Although I can't recall a bad year for stories around here, but that's neither here nor there nor anywhere else for that matter...)

Nominations were opened on the 14th, so two weeks would mean cutoff of the 28th. To make it nice and tidy, how about end of February instead (2 weeks + one leap day)? We'll lock up the thread and announce finalists March 1.

My votes for Best Story!

I just love these stories, and when I need something to listen these are the ones that I have listened to over and over again.

- #214 - The Wish of the Demon Achtromagk by Eugie Foster
- #220 - Bad Habit by Richard Weems
- #221 - Year of the Rabbit by An Owomoyela
- #222 - Rules for Living in a Simulation by Aubrey Hirsch
- #210 - C is for Crate by Greg van Eekhout and Jen Reese (although if I can vote for all of #210, they were
all amazing!).

So many good stories this year - thank you Drabblecast for keeping me entertained during my long work hours and commute!

As my first post to this forum, here are my top five:

1) 202/203 - Boojum
2) 222 - Rules for Living in a Simulation
3) 218 - Orange
4) 206 - Creature
5) 216 - The Book of Eternity

Honorable mentions (not eligible):
200- The Last Question-- this particular episode is perhaps my favorite mp3 ever! I will keep it on my mp3 player forever, until entropy destroys everything.

228 - A Fairy Tale of Oakland-- This was a great Xmas story, but I can't nominate an Xmas story now that it is February.
