Bo, any thoughts on how hard that deadline is? I just finished up my third entry, and I'm still having fun. I might think about picking up a fourth (looks like there's still plenty of pickins), but I doubt I'd finish it by August 1.

Soft as cephlapod hide. I think I'll be updating the DARP site with a new deadline soon. Our optimistic Drabblecast.org beta launch is mid-September, and it was then we were planning to debut DARP covers. August was always a soft,a 'tree shake' deadline; the ripened fruit would fall. It is understandable, and expected that some fruit remains on the branch.

As it stands, of the complete DARP episode range, we're about 30% done, and 60% assigned. So yeah, healthy pickings remain, and we continue to encourage volunteers. Think of mid September as the new, soft deadline.

I would guess even post beta, we'll have to utilize 'holder covers' for some of the legacy episodes. Those covers will remain indefinitely post-launch, only struck down when an art contributor helps us complete the catalog. Plenty of DARP'ing still to come

All right, I'll look through the list of remaining episodes some more, to see if there are some premises that I feel I can do justice to. :)

Final Days For DARP'ing
If you want said art to debut alongside the new Drabblecast.org..
I mean we'll keep taking em till there all done, but gee wiz guys, I'd really like em soon, if I can get em soon..
they're important to me and stuff, y'know?

If you're a volunteered artist with claimed but non-submitted episodes, you've likely seen my email. If you're a new artist - we still have unclaimed covers, and just under 2 weeks. If you rush, you can make it under the gun (but as per the rules of 'the gun' if you don't make it, we shoot you).

Now that you've got (most of) the originally snapped up Drabble Art work, what is the new deadline/timescale for episode art that people want to make from now on?

(I'm assuming that any extra work will be gratefully received as soon as it can be made, yes?)
Bo - I've emailed you a few more episodes for which I'd like to 'art'

Btw, what's with the lack of love for the Trifecta stories, eh?

For me, I find it harder to remember specific Trifecta plots after a long period of time because they're so brief. I don't know about anyone else. :P

Yea, I've been noticing that as I help build the new site. Art up some Trifectas, peeps! I know they are some of my favorite stories. One theory I've had, it's that it's hard to encapsulate 3 stories into 1 piece of art.
Hey, there's chapter-based art in the M4A format. Why not a triptych? (I learned that word yesterday. I'm so proud I got to use it.)

Well, I've bagsied Trifecta V.

M4A? *spits*

Some people still use the perfectly acceptable (though chapter-free) MP3 version.

Lotta Trifectas remain in limbo. Yeh, I think it is all the recall issue, I mean, seeing an old title is a lot more likely to pique a memory. I re-listened to a couple, and they came right back: 'Oh yeh, that one!' Claimed Trifecta 1 and 3 for me'self.

We're now officially in the DARP afterglow. If it's on the site, the opportunity remains open! And the deadline is now... end of year with a twist of ASAP?

Though, it'd be better to check back after tonight, we just had a run on remainders. Believe we just dipped below 25. Thanks everyone!

Can't wait to turn the site on. We're so damnably close! Many of these new covers are just fantastic. The range of styles is thrilling. And hey, if you're unfortunate enough to enjoy my work, I've got double digit contributions - monsters and grimaces abound!

If there were money involved, yes. Instead, unpaid overtime. On a deadline.

When you do you expect the site to go live? I am very much looking forward to perusing all the new art!

There are but 23 slots left (we're almost done DARP'ing). I'm going to close down this sticky topic soon. bokaier.com/reclamation will remain open. The new site has visible place-holders, so it should be clear to all involved where the remaining entry points are.

Thanks all for making this such a success!

The soft launch has already happened. You have to hunt your way backwards, but the DARPs are all there. We're still working on drabblecast.org for the bigger deal 'announced launch.' Any feedback on the immediate product, feel free to share, it may already be on Tom's/my list and simply unfinished. For one, we want a better gallery for showing off cover art.

Hi there, Bo, long-time listener, first time caller,
could the 'thumbnail' for each episode, e.g. when you search on the new site and get a list of results showing on the page, be a smaller version of the whole 'art' rather than a closer-to-correct-size but cut-off version?
It looks odd seeing only a bit of the image, and without the title showing.

pretty please?

And the new (www.drabblecast.org) site looks great, too. 8)

Yea, good thought. I'd noticed that earlier. It only shows up during a search, not during categories or other browsing. I'll put it on my todo list.
