Deciding to Use Cellular Suicide Sacs

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 11:23 am

Extremophilic Cells
wanted the Laws of the Holy Cell
implemented well
in their lands
and seas
as they oversee
a Theocracy.

You understand
that these slightly crazy
Cells
can make life hell
since I can tell
the tell-tale
signs
of Lysosomic Organelles
that are quite unwell.

Unwell
Lysosomic Organelles
can dissolve a Cell
and anything very well
close to the Cell.

It was at noon
when the Cellular Goons
poked their Lysosomic Organelles
and made life hell
for any Cell
in the Cellular
Mass Transport
that does sport
the name Blood Vessel
as Cells
in the Blood Vessel
became unwell.

Inescapable Truth: "No matter where we go, there we are."
One person in an iron cage thinks if there were no God, he would be free.
Another thinks if there were no bureaucracy, he would be free.
Another blames soulless science.

But what if the cage is Blame?

The 20th century saw the results of faith in eugenics. Hitler and Margaret Sanger and Henry Ford and a majority in "progressive" circles worked together to sterilize the poor, the handicapped, homosexuals, the Romas, blacks, the Jews, in the name of science. This view lost its cachet after the Holocaust, and it was a rather delicate business for Sanger and Ford to step back while their German associates were prosecuted for crimes against humanity.

But no worries. In the name of science, eugenics has been rehabilitated. This time someone says they need to have a bit more humility?

Do ya think?
No matter where they go, there they are.

The Terror Cells

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 11:58 am

The Cells Walls
of the Cells
in a section of a Vessel
called a Blood Vessel
soon dissolved and this Terror Cell
Attack
made the Cellular
Government hit back
with oppressive Cell Body
searches
that search
for unwell
Lysosomic Organelles.

Cells
going to a floating
vessel
called a Blood Vessel
had to be stripped of Extracellular
Coatings
to be unwell
naked Cells.

The Cellular
Transport Authority
authorized this quite unwell
precautionary measure
that surely
harmed the modesty of Cells
that stripped off very well
all their slimy glycoprotein coats
before they head to a Vessel
that on air does float.

Maybe Immoral to deny the possible benefits of Biotech

Once Humanity
does identify genes
that need to be fixed in Humanity
it's almost immoral
to deny the good that come from actually
fixing the germline genetic
defects
to effect
positive change to multiple generations.

In several generations
we will forget
old traumas and get
wiser with medical
ethical
matters.

In my opinion, relieving
suffering
matters
more than dogmatic
and almost automatic
rejection of a technology
that can enhance our biology.

If we accept our condition
and don't strive to better our situation
then we might as well be outcompeted
by other Galactic Civilizations
and perhaps exterminated
or partially eliminated.

Blame is pointer...Blaming Blame is recursive...

Quite oddly recursive to blame
'blame'.

I don't blame
blame
exclusively since blame
is a primarily a response to an issue
that the blame
point to.

It's better to fix the issue
being pointed to
than to blame
or to claim
that the 'Cage' is subjective blame
when there's much objective claims
to the contrary.

Ordinarily
blame
does relay
the root causes
and just because
it's unfixable doesn't mean
that we can't blame
the root causes.

The World is mean
but that doesn't mean
we cannot make it better
by fixing the root causes
rather than playing a blame
game.

Facticity of Death and Taxes may soon be debateable

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 1:20 pm

Facticity (French: facticité, German: Faktizität) has a multiplicity of meanings from "factuality" and "contingency" to the intractable conditions of human existence.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facticity

The fact
that Human Freedom is limited
has a Philosophical
Term called Facticity.

Many Philosophers
do identify Death as a Facticity
like Taxes
meaning
an inescapable part of being
a Human Being.

The wealthy can escape Taxes
and maybe Death too
in a few
generations
as Science improves the Human Condition.

The Facticity
of our lives
are vastly different from the lives
of our ancestors and our descendants.

It's imperative for our descendants
to transcend our Facticities
since to our ancestors our abilities
are almost 'Godlike'
and hence our descendants
will be more 'Godlike'
living lives
unlike
our short lives.

Holy Worm Origins

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 3:02 pm

The Holy Worm
came to Earth via a meteor storm
during a thunderstorm
and the electromagnetic fields
did yield
Holy Visions
that led some people to a mission
to obtain
a certain
biological artifact
that was Alien in fact.

Once the people were in the crater site
my sources did cite
that they
prayed
to Jesus while Alien Worms
wormed
into their bodies.

While the Alien Worms
were worming
into their bodies
the Alien Worms
imprinted from their Human Hosts
the Christian Belief System
into their Alien Nervous Systems
and hence the Alien Worms
became Holy Worms
or Jesus Worms.

I think the eugenicists were driven my Materialism and Utilitarianism. Once you accept the premise that it might be possible to eliminate poverty and disease by eliminating poor and sick people, you soon find the ends justifying monstrous means.

In a recent comment about climate change, our precious Varda conceded that the necessary changes in individual behavior justified a kind of totalitarianism, and that is was a legitimate function of governments - forcing people to do the right thing. It is stipulated that people are unlikely to give up their personal freedoms and well-being in order to mitigate a .3 degree increase in temperature 20 years in the future. So we need to be made to do so for our own good.

Well, that turns out to be a pretty good deal for Al Gore and Tom Steyer, who can justify their personal carbon footprint equivalents of a third world country by being the chief priests of this new religion. For everyone else, the important thing is to never acknowledge the sacrifices that will be demanded. The devil's in the details.

I had a brother with Down's Syndrome. He grew up with friends who had Downs. Where have all the Down's Syndrome folks gone off to? The only ones who survived are the ones who slipped through the cracks in a system designed to eliminate them. Very neat. Very utilitarian. But who can say the world is a better place for it? And who will guard against this same impulse leading to Asberger's/Autism prenatal "screening", and wrongful birth suits against doctors whose negligence results in "Lebensunwertes Leben"?

It's a fact that much suffering
is eliminated via prenatal screening.

We can go beyond mere screening
to perhaps genetic engineering.

A child maybe fixed instead of screened out.

Without a doubt
there people who may prefer
having children with Asperger's
being productive people with Asperger's.

Having Asperger's
has some benefits
while severe Autism has little benefit.

The decision to have a child
or not to have a child
is up to each family
and each family
has similarly
the power to elect
to select
the which traits to pass

tools we didn't have

Negative eugenics is very much negative

Tools are tools
and the previous misuse of a tool
shouldn't prevent us from learning
to wisely use the tool.

We learn
from mistakes
and wisdom
may come
from our mistakes
if we take
them as learning
experiences.

The sad experience
that was the eugenics movement
was based on selective breeding
and hence they practiced negative eugenics
meaning
selective
sterilization
or elimination
of the defective.

Neoeugenics don't need
to do such heinous deeds
since we now have indeed
genetic engineering tools
that are more cool.

We should fix not kill.

Humanity's
Destiny
isn't written in DNA but in our will.

Scientifically selecting those who are permitted to live didn't work out with the Nazis;
But We are not Nazis. We aren't talking about killing Jews. And while we're waiting to perfect our genetic engineering techniques, we won't be using Zyklon B.

It will be hidden. You won't even be aware of it. Certain people will just be "subtracted" from the picture.

Of course, the danger to you is really minimal. You're on the right side, not one of those...fanatics.
It will be as if it never really happened at all. And when it does, you won't feel a thing.

Let's not go there.

Letting Loving Parents produce the Offspiring they love

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 9:39 pm

It's inevitable
that we will
soon be able
to exercise greater control still
on how we are able
to reproduce.

Reproduction
is the issue that's the root of your objection.

Hence, do you prefer not having contraception?

Allowing bad random mutations
is almost immoral if we can fix
the mutations
and fixing
is the Human thing.

Letting
people suffer
or die shortly after
birth due to birth defects
in effect
also subtract
but you detract
that at least we didn't do the subtraction.

What's the attraction
of letting pain and death
happened and is pain and death
moral
at all?

Loving Parents aren't NAZIs

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 9:57 pm

Parents want only what's best
for their children
and will probably do the best
by their children.

I don't have children
but if I have children
I wouldn't wish on them the burden
of a severe metal
or physical
disability.

If I had the ability
to prevent deformities
from happening at all
I'm obliged to fix
or perhaps my child will fix
him or her self
and I will blame myself
for causing
some avoidable suffering.

My suffering
child
might not even be mildly
adverse to blaming
me for not using
morally neutral tools to fix
what could be fixed.

All Birth Defects are Holy?

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 10:33 pm

The financial
and emotional
burden
of unwanted children
with special needs
indeed
can ruin a family
financially
and emotionally.

Insisting that a family
let themselves suffer
when the family
can opt not to suffer
is almost illogical.

Your arguments may have Theological
basis but God helps
those that help
themselves
and it's up to each family to help
themselves.

Nazi
science
isn't our medical science
and the Nazi
Theory of the Aryan Race is pseudoscience.

Parents
aren't Nazis
and the Medical Profession
do profess
to do no harm like an obsession.

Modern Medical Science
shouldn't be equated to Nazi pseudoscience.

My Downs brother was not a cause of suffering, as you assume. And it was certainly not immoral to let him live. If this is where science is taking us, the Nazis won after all.

Hard to imagine turning back the clock

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 11:03 pm

I don't wish that your brother
wasn't born but I do wonder
if any family
would logically
or emotionally
want a child with a severe disability.

I sometimes wish I wasn't born
and maybe some people born
with more severe handicaps too
view life that way.

The day
soon may come when parents
have even more Godlike powers
than the already Godlike powers
that you already object to.

Human parents will do
what Human parents
have always done
and one
can count
on parents
to try to give their offspring the best
chance
at life
which might mean
enhancing
genes.

'God' Aborts 15-20% of all Humans

Post by secretnude » Tue Jun 10, 2014 11:26 pm

Among women who know they are pregnant, the miscarriage rate is roughly 15-20%
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miscarriage

If the group of cells
very well
don't have a nervous system yet
there's no reason to get
all mad
about getting rid of the sad
fertilized egg
that's a bad egg.

Humans spontaneously abort
and the spontaneous abortions
is a positive evolutionary adaptation
to getting rid of genetic maladaptation.

Medicine
and Science has been
largely positive
and casting a negative
light based on dogmatic objections
based on Theological considerations
has historically
been at the losing end.

History
may or may not repeat itself
but Science
itself isn't bad.

The application of Science
maybe bad
but parents aren't generally bad.

People may not stay as people in the long run

Post by secretnude » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:07 am

We may evolve ourselves wittingly
or unwittingly
to Posthumanity.

Transcending
Humanity
isn't inherently
bad
since we transcended
our apelike ancestors.

Declaring Humanity
as final may be too early
and we can be ancestors
to a more superior
race.

Having
Superior
Beings
live amongst us must be
welcomed instead of feared
like I did hear
in the X-Men.

The X-Men
did explore the implications of having
superior beings
live among normal beings.

Since Humanity
is still evolving
maybe Human Nature
is also evolving
for sure.

Our 'norms'
may not the the 'norms'
of our Posthuman descendants
that may soon be ascendant.

based on dogmatic objections
I am pretty dogmatic about the value of my brother's life. He was one of the happiest people on earth, loved everyone, and never hurt a single person.

Those who have somehow concluded that human value is measured by intelligence and giftedness will rightly be destroyed when the AIs surpass them in intelligence and giftedness. Mankind will then be nothing but a burden on limited resources.

Maybe we need to add, to racism and sexism, egoism. It's where the only one who has any rights is me.

Keep looking back and you might not see what's ahead

Post by secretnude » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:38 am

We can always look back at the past
but maybe the past
doesn't
always inform
and being stuck in the past
makes you immune to reform.

I will inform
you that I do deplore the Nazis
and the Nazis
didn't win.

If a Homo Superior
does come in
it may have superior
morals
and we have do superior
morals
to the immoral
Nazis.

Nazism
is a dead ideology
based on racial hate
and nobody said we hate
'defectives'
we like the defectives
to get cured effectively.

Biologically
eliminating genetic defects
is compassionate
and fixing genetic defects
is even more compassionate.
