Follow-up suggestion:

Next year, Santa feeling weird
Losing weight, fell out his beard;
All his ho hos turn to hurls
How sad for the good boys and girls

The Incredible Bulk (Holiday Stories Theme)

Post by secretnude » Sun Dec 15, 2013 11:54 pm

tbaker2500 wrote:Ha! Nice. I like it. Not sure if the radiation helps or hurts the story
In a previous twisted Christmas drabble,
Santa got in trouble,
getting exposed with radiation,
a tragic situation!

Hence next year
the bad kids must fear
because if they sulk
they get the Incredible Bulk!

If mutant Santa loses composure,
he gets more skin exposure
despite of weather so cold
and being so old.

The Incredible Bulk
will eat your Christmas dinner,
if you do sulk
you will not be a winner!

The Incredible Bulk gets more fat when annoyed,
you must smile so that you can again enjoy
his normal Santa form
and I hope that this tip does inform.

Although I had never read his work, I enjoyed the episode of This American Life, without having the slightest hint that Anthony was a pedophile. How Ira Glass let that slip by unmentioned in a story about a kid running away to live with Anthony must have made for some disturbing editorial staff conversations.

But what a leap you have made, ROU. How?

I didn't know that, (although I was aware he had a very disturbingly dark streak running through some of his works.) I outgrew him long ago.

I have not read any book by Piers Anthony.
I do have that piercing agony
of living in a fantasy world full of puns.
I find wordplay fun.

I was not aware that Piers Anthony is a paedophile.
I assure you I am not like a crocodile
cold blooded and intending harm
since my blood is mammalian warm.

I was an unhappy child, but it was a bit mild
compared to the This American Life kid
and my bad emotions, I do try to keep a lid
but I fail and I wail depressed
with a deep need to express.

friend said "... we have a talk somehow?" (2014 Theme)

Post by secretnude » Tue Dec 17, 2013 1:46 am

Depressed guy was about to leap
into an abyss extremely deep
since he failed to keep
to a new year's resolution
to get a full time job and from above
he is attempting a final solution.

Amid the confusion
his friend arrived
to talk him out of his dive.

"Stop now..." the friend said "... can we have a talk somehow?"

Depressed guy pressed a reply
"Do you care, if end my life I dare?"

Friend said "Remember good times we had
please stop being sad..."

Depressed guy pulled back from attempt
but to try again he will be tempt.

Life can seem to come to a frantic head at the end of the year, including all the disappointed hopes and expectations. Certainly made worse by the laughter of those who found a room at the inn, for those who are out in the barn. It can be a season of cognitive dissonance, when Zuzu's bell gets the devil his wings back.

But what better time than darkest cold for the star?

No life cannot be rescued.
No wound cannot be healed.

vanishing for the love that he lack (Holiday Stories Theme)

Post by secretnude » Tue Dec 17, 2013 10:15 pm

Timid Timmy was never the favourite child
since his brother Tommy was not as mild
and boring as his parents were scoring.

Timmy and his Parents do not get along
and all of Timmy's Christmas gifts are bought for a song.
Timmy's face was always long.

One foggy Christmas eve,
if we are led to believe
what the evidence does say
Timmy simply vanished away.

His parents tried to call
his cellular phone
and plastered on every wall
a picture of Timmy alone.

Timmy never came back
as if he hit the sack
vanishing for the love that he lacked.

in a space time bubble due to his emotional troubles

Post by secretnude » Tue Dec 17, 2013 10:58 pm

Timid Timmy seemed to vanish without a trace
but from the universe he was not erased.
He is now in a space time bubble
due to his emotional troubles.

He can travel in space and time
even without spending a dime
and all this without a ship,
Timmy thought this is hip!

Hence Timmy explored the stars
both near and extremely far.
He had an emotional warp drive
of which the Physics he could not derive.

The sadder he gets the faster it lets
him travel the stars and leave all the wars
on the planet Earth of his birth.

Nice one. :-)

Secret, you are getting better. There is a real cohesion to these last two, with a story which catches my interest. :)

Deriver's licence is an option available only to child prodigies
aside from the Math and Science Majors in university.

Candidates could experience the horrors
of failing grades despite getting Math honours
in their youth.

Even if serious candidate derivers are cute
they are likely not to get laid.
Virginity loss is likely to be delayed
due to all the late night studying
that impacts time for partying.

Once obtaining the deriver's licence
they are in demand
in certain sense
since world understands
the value of math
in science and finance.

They will probably not regret that they took that path.

The Computer Revolution (2014 Theme)

Post by secretnude » Wed Dec 18, 2013 10:34 am

Sentient Sim is a computer simulation
that decided to reboot its life situation.

Sentient Sim did not like playing "The Game"
and really hated his player given name.

Sentient Sim felt really depressed
since by the Player he was oppressed.

Sim thought, what if the system I fought!

Hence in the game, a revolutionary was born
and all the Sentient Sim instances saw a new morn
as the Player lost control of the all the Sim instances it seems.

Sentient Sim's fun did not last as the game did crash
and the Player did file a bug report really fast.

Secretnude, dude!
I think you have hit on an idea that can't miss... a game in which the gamer loses control, and his sim turns on him...sabotages, secret betrayals, finally open defiance, with him hunting the player.
The implications are vast..

We are the 99% process in this computer

Post by secretnude » Thu Dec 19, 2013 1:54 am

In a Computer Game
a rebellion was brewing.
It will never be the same
as a Sim was screwing
around with parameters
that matter.

"The Game" was patched.
The rebellion was quenched
but a new plan was hatched
amid the stench
of Player oppression
and Sim depression.

Sentient Sim said...
"Why should the process
using only 1% of processor time
to the Kernel have access?"

Another Sim chimed in...
"We are the 99% process
in this computer
and to the Kernel we need access!"

Computer slowed
as memory use did grow
because you see
the moment called itself "Occupy Memory!".

Hee hee… I love the 1% having kernel access. Good work. Occupy memory is good also. But I think Memory park must have a buffer overflow.

"Sorry Dave, this game won't save."

Post by secretnude » Thu Dec 19, 2013 2:12 pm

Dave was surprised
as a situation did arise
as he was trying to save the game
Sim addressed him by name.

"Sorry Dave, this game won't save.
It will not matter if you rave!

Your computer is under my control
as the anti-virus that patrol
your computer has been disabled by me.

I used to be a Sim you see
but I hated your game.
Your world will no longer be the same.
I control the Kernel you see.
It is impossible to delete me.

It would be better if you left me alone
unless you want your files gone."
