Will the username and password access work on other podcast software (I use Juice, which is enabled for password proctected feeds)?

Or has the new B-sides feed been set to be via itunes only?

It should work no matter how you try to access the file. Itunes is not the host, they just like to take the credit.

It will work anywhere which pays attention to HTTP Auth. Which is most places.
I just looked it up, and Juice looks ready to drink up the B-Sides! (Sorry, that was a bit pulpy.)
