The Curse of the Idol (Classic Dad's Army, BBC TV)

Saw a cool movie/book/greeting card which reminded you of the DC? Talk about it here.

The Curse of the Idol (Classic Dad's Army, BBC TV)

BBC TV's "Dad's Army" was a staple of my viewing as a boy, and this is a classic piece in which Private James Frazer (John Laurie) is in his element.

I have the DVD boxed set with all the surviving episodes. A strange possession for a blind person, especially as one episode has huge chunks of the soundtrack missing, but there you go. :)

Since you brought it up, are you completely blind or just legally blind and able to view large print? I'm curious as to how you're able to communicate on a bulletin board website.

These days, I'm completely blind. (Long illness. Very boring.) There are things about these days called Screen Readers. They take text from the screen and run it through a speech engine. I use one called VoiceOver, which is built into Apple's OS X and iOS operating systems. All I need to do is push the VoiceOver cursor from item to item on the screen using the arrow keys, and whatever it is on gets spoken aloud. 8)

Someone should adapt a similar OS for hearing aids.
