...Hey, Norm, do you have an ETA yet on your bardle CD?

good question!! actually as of today I do have an ETA. I'm shooting for a summer release party/concert in June. The songs are in 'polishing' mode right now with pro's so those of you that buy the CD can experience the 12% increase in sound quality from the freebies out there for download.. not to mention Bo's frikkin amazing multi-page cover art and other minor assortments which will make them real selling points.
Patience friends! I could do this quickly if I didn't love trying to bring you such a good podcast oh-so-regularly, not to mention a day job! Someone send me super fat check and I'll jostle up this projected schedule substantially. :)

Any update, Norm? I've been hiding some money from the wife in Paypal and I think she's starting to sniff it out.

Yes, it's June now.
When will this release party be?

It's comin' along! Rerecording a couple songs for better quality, hoping to have the thing wrapped up by September. I've seen Bo's concept sketches and let me just say, this will be the best album artwork you've ever laid eyes on.

Oh, if only there could be a 33 1/3 vinyl LP release. Album artwork suffered such a horrible slashing to it's canvas size with the advent of CD's and, even worse, MP3's.

How about 3D, hunh? I want to look at the world through tentacle-colored glasses.
I scream. You scream. We all scream for...
I scream. You scream. We all scream for...
I scream. You scream. We all scream for... XP

Hey Norm I am finishing up listening to all your drabble cast archives. I do not know what to say to express my overwhelming gratitude for providing, compiling, indexing and cataloging such a treasure trove of entertainment. I mean that from the bottom of my slightly modified, hybrid-cybernetic-alien-human DNA. The stories stimulate my bio evolutionary acceleration implants till they are slightly chaffed and puffy.

My 12yo splicee offspring hatchling loves the 100 word drabbles and is giving them a try.

Thank You Earthling

Psychically .... I think this....

It's pretty amazing the raw number of hours of entertainment provided for free, eh?
Welcome to the forums!

Dude!

Best first post ever. (and it wasn't even in the Drabbles thread, so that's an accomplishment...)

Main man is still remastering tracks. I can't say I have a lock on when it will be, gotta query Mr. Sherman for his best guess.

There's more than one way to fleece a sheep.

Between Kickstarter and the upcoming Sally Struthers weepathon release, I believe the starving children will gladly be signing over their monthly checks in no time. Give a child a squid, and you have fed him for a day. But teach a child to compose a proper Nigerian spam scam, and you have fed the entire village, (once they get internet service).

If only DC could institute a Pledge Month, like PBS, where instead of selling $10 CDs, you could give them away for free to anyone who pledges $50. For a $100 pledge, you also get a DC coffee mug with the message, "I got mugged by Norm Sherman". Get Bo and ROU and Tom to do guest spot testimonials with the phones ringing in the background, and threaten not to stop until you meet your goal. These could be released as individual 45 second DC podcasts so everybody's podcatchers would automatically download them every day.

And those are just my legal ideas.

This might not be done by Xmas people. It'll be very close. The digital download definitely will, but printing the album and shipping over the holidays will be tough.

Regardless, i'm really happy with how it's turning out. Worth the little extra wait I promise!

I'm surprised no one's posted anything yet.

The Esoteric Order of Sherman has been on an almost constant loop on my phone since It came through.

Great job, Norm, it's awesome.
