Gotta have one?
Well...
Does this remind anyone of the shroud of Turin?

What, you mean faked too?strawman wrote:Does this remind anyone of the shroud of Turin?
You do realize this is photoshopped?
Notice the lack of wrinkles in the dog's alleged sweater? The smaller human face is also slightly off in: size, alignment, and orientation for the dog's body.
Finally, take the smaller human face, re-enlarge it slightly (about 25%) and then position it over the man's face. It's a perfect pixel match (accounting for the re-enlargement sample error). No variance in texture, shading, contours or alignment.
Thoroughly fake.

You must realize that "speculative fiction" is just a nicer way of saying "fake"?Algernon Sydney is Dead wrote:What, you mean faked too?strawman wrote:Does this remind anyone of the shroud of Turin?

So I prefer to call the picture speculative fiction.
And, admittedly, pointless.
But cute, you've got to admit.
Because you already did.

Ah, but speculative fiction doesn't pretend to be legit fact (Well, unless it's on the campaign trail or coming from Jon Stewart's mouth).
That's just not right.

Re: Dog and Man at Yale
Thanks, ASID! I'll be far less AWOL starting later this week, when I can finally stop treading water and get back to having a little fun now and then.
Until then, enjoy the following Drabblecasty tidbits from my upcoming audiology exam:
1. Auditory Hallucinations simulation
2. Types of Nystagmus (a.k.a. Eyeballs doing creepy things involuntarily--start it around 3:00 to get to the really good ones.)
For best results, play #1 while watching #2.
