Hey, thanks for dropping by, Jay! I was wondering whether, in your mind, Emissary sent Milton to his superiors as revenge against them for salvation for her. I know you believe the story belongs to the reader and all, but I was just curious about what you were thinking when you wrote it.jaylake wrote:Man, you guys are amazing. Yes, you got my intention regarding the general course of the disease, and the direction of Milton's thinking at the end. For what it's worth, I invariably believe that the story belongs to the reader, but it's always a treat when my vision and the reader's vision line up well. If you've got any direct questions for me, fire away. (And here via ahilton.)

Yeah, Abby, you are such a wallflower. Maybe a Charlie the Purple Giraffe wallflower. How ironic!
Jay, thank you for coming by; really love the story. My question: How'd you like Norm's interpretation?

Yes, this was so awesomely written.
I liked it, I think...I mean I know what happened in the story and Lake is a wonderful story teller though i couldn't help but feel like something had escaped me at the end...
Maybe I'm just too feeble minded to 'get it' with out grimy little clown hachlings....

I think want I wanted to say has been put up by others but just wanted to add that I adored this, sometimes just having a story that feels as beautiful as this one is good enough for me without wanting to analyse it, it all just worked perfectly

I liked the story very much. Though it really wasn't clear how the virus works, the mood of the story and the idea were great. and the way it was told. and... I really like unhappy endings!
