The 1970 publish date is apparent in some of the language used, but I must say I enjoyed this story. And I wouldn't call it retro-futuristic; much of the prognosticating in Day Million feels like a viable scientific future, even 44 years later. Also, CRNsurf, amazing covers. The main character's name threw me. I thought we were dealing with some Neil Gaiman'esque conference of supernatural beings, that this was the immortal, biblical Cain.
