Re: Drabblecast 136- The Great Old Pumpkin by John Aegard
Hey, everyone, thanks for all the congratulations! We're still digesting those brai...I mean, this weekend's events, but it was fun to be able to catch up on the Drabblecast. And thanks to Norm for producing my story--it was a lot of fun to hear! Loved the feature--great example of a parody and good...

FINALLY caught up on Drabblecasts! (I've had a really crazy last two months at work.) I really liked this one. I felt it was pretty certain that by the end the protagonist was leaning toward disagreeing with the practice. And I felt that the author did a good job of illustrating that whether or not ...
To be fair, I had been raving about the ring for awhile, but I didn't know for sure he'd get it for me. He previously worked on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (Sony), and now works for TimeGate Studios which would be best known for Kohan... I'll go ahead and put in a plug for a game they're releasing this...
Haha, I appreciate you're concern that he's the right guy for me. But never fear! He is drabblish (you'll believe me when you see the ring), and yes, he knows about Marbles (our cat doesn't, though). He designs video games for his livelihood. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3107/3151207828_dbaa6439c3...

I second Bo's vote for "In Order to Conserve" as the best of the bunch. While I recall enjoying the whole episode, for the life of me I can't seem to remember anything--anything at all--about the other two stories. :? This is sort of embarrassing, and I think more a testament to the week I've had th...

I had actually assumed the opposite. When the people weren't talking, I inferred that it must be because they were all psychic and had no need to speak. The probe's discovery of quantum communication confirmed that theory, so I was somewhat surprised when the demon showed up. I figured that the pro...

I liked the Golem story from Eastern Europe where the guy that brings the Golem to life ends up getting squashed to death by the Golem. Anyone know which story I'm referring to? I can't remember all the details, but I have a picture next to the Golem statue. I know the one you're talking about, tho...

re: sid vicious
That theory would certainly be corroborated by his music preference, punk.

My vote
Entirely unrelated to Bo's change of heart*, I have decide to switch my vote to SQUID VICIOUS While I cannot deny the ungodly draw of the winged terror, I will put on my tin foil hat and change my allegiance to our squid master. Mostly because the description is awesome. *I admit that, as with Bo, N...

Re: old man
I couldn't figure out how the old man knew as much as he did. Wouldn't he have had just as much time to figure it out as the young family did? I had a little problem with this, too, and the way I justified it for myself is along the lines of what other people have said here about the true ambiguity...

My vote
LUCIFOUL Despite what some may say about the last night Night Owl was in the ring, one thing that I felt was pretty fairly agreed upon during that round was that psychic powers made for formidable opponents. Yes, the tanuki mech had its strengths, and it's too bad more of them aren't present in Luc...
