Love this series and so far part 1 is no dissapointment. Can't wait for part 2. However, that twabble at the end was quite the sour note. It just dirtied up a beautiful thing for the sake of a cheap gag. It was like ending Beethoven's 5th with an armpit squelch. Otherwise, total awesomeness.

Sadly, no, but I have been told I'm a good size. I'm also not exactly what one might call 'bad'. I'm sorry for the hyperbole but somehow 'a decent sized, mildly irritating wolf' just didn't have the bite I was looking for.strawman wrote:Is it true what they say? Are you really big?

I drove back an Elder Thing with a Holy Pokey once and all it got me was a life-time ban from the bingo hall and a bad reputation.

I got to compliment Mr. Sherman's reading on this one. He puts a nice frantic edge on it. I'm use to listening to Wayne June read HPL and that is one tough act to follow. Great job.

The Lord and Master [for HPL month]
Well, here goes nothing. This is my first attempt at a Drabble so a little constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The Lord and Master He dripped poison words into the minds of the people, reducing them to gibbering, mindless automatons. But while his dark magic guaranteed their...

Re: Drabblecast 249 – Jimmy’s Roadside Cafe
Nothing beats a good end-of-the-world story. It was sufficiently bleak, enough so to make the simple touches of humanity and cheeiros stand out in contrast without being so heavy handed that you want to dash your brains out with a Cormac McCarthy novel. But best of all, above the corpse stench, you ...

Re: Drabblecast 248 - The Cockroach Hat
This story was like someone trying to bludgeon you into laughing with stale chunk of symbolism. It was awkward, somewhat painful and it made a mess in the kitchen.
